Family Preservation Project (FPP)

Advocating for Families to Prevent Family Separation

Are you a parent or caretaker who has an open Department of Children and Families (DCF) case or investigation? If so, the Massachusetts Family Preservation Project may be able to help you and your family.

The FPP provides holistic, parent/ caregiver centered legal representation and support to strengthen families and prevent DCF child removals.  

The FPP advocates directly with DCF for the family and can help a family with other legal issues such as: 

• Domestic violence protection, paternity establishment, child support divorce, and custody 
• Special education and school discipline 
• Food, cash assistance, Social Security, unemployment 
• Eviction and homelessness 

Unfortunately, the FPP cannot assist the family if the children have already been removed or the family is involved in a court case with DCF.
