Training for Attorneys: Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) in the Probate & Family Court

MetroWest Legal Services is hosting a virtual training on SIJS (Special Immigrant Juvenile Status) in the Probate and Family Court. Topics will include best practices for working with interpreters and immigrant children, an overview of the SIJS process, tips and tricks for drafting the necessary pleadings, and common issues.

If you are interested in helping young people with the immigration process, serving low-income clients, or getting involved in pro bono work, this training is for you! No experience required, although we welcome experienced immigration attorneys and new attorneys alike.

Please note that this training will be virtual. The Zoom link and materials will be sent out to registered attendees in advance of the training. The training is expected to last 2.5-3 hours.

*As the cost of the training, attendees are asked to commit to take on two pro bono SIJS cases from MWLS in the next year.
