Free* Name Change and Identity Documents Training for Attorneys

In collaboration with Ropes & Gray, the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition, and OUT MetroWest, MetroWest Legal Services is hosting a virtual name change training. Topics will include navigating the legal name change process in Massachusetts, preparing clients for next steps after obtaining a name change decree, and cultural competency for working with trans and nonbinary clients.

If you are interested in helping clients with the legal name change process, serving LGBTQ+ clients, or getting involved in pro bono work, this training is for you!

Please note that this training will be virtual. The Zoom link and materials will be sent out to registered attendees in advance of the training.

*As the cost of the training, attendees are asked to commit to take on two pro bono name change cases from MWLS in the next year.
